Proposion 8 overturned in California - good news for America

I am very happy with this decision. Personally, I cannot care less about gay marriage and its legality – but this decision by a left-wing judge to ignore the laws and the constitutional referendum and instead simply follow his own revolutionary conscience will push more people to vote against liberals. November is looking better and better each day. Christmas is coming early this year – and so does Hanukkah and New Year. I am less certain about Kwanzaa though – it may be a tad late this year.

I agree. I'm a big fan of the concept of 'If you see a big pile of trash the best way to deal with it if you can't clean it up yourself, is add to it so it gets too big to ignore'.

He isn't a left winged judge. He is a libertarion that was put on the bench by Bush I.

Yes he is openly gay, but from his record, it doesn't seem that he goes off the ranch all that often.

I am not sticking up for his decision, I am just saying that I don't think it is his homosexuality, it is more his world view on social issues.

What worries me about this, is that they will use it as a tool to persecute churches and Synagogues that will not perform gay marriages.

Even though you might disagree with my conclusions, you will probably enjoy the show, as I had a lot of fun with the issue and listened to a lot of audio from other sources. http://thejimmyzshow.blogspot.com/2010/08/jimmy-z-thursday-show.html

Also, Trestin is right. The effects of this decision, should it hold, will be enormous and in ways that none of us want to see happen.
